El proper dissabte 25 de maig farem una caminada a Montserrat per sortir una mica de la ciutat i conèixer la muntanya més emblemàtica de Catalunya.

Montserrat és una de les muntanyes més conegudes a Catalunya, que deu la seva fama a les formes sinuoses que la perfilen. Objecte de llegenda i misteri, la muntanya acull diversos edificis, com el Monestir, l’Escolania (on estudien els nens que formen el cor) o la Santa Cova, on descansa La Moreneta (una verge negra trobada el segle IX).

Sortirem del centre de Barcelona al matí i anirem fins a Montserrat. Allà farem una caminada de dues hores des de Santa Cecília fins al Monestir. Després tindrem un parell d’hores per dinar i passejar pels voltants, i tornarem a ser a Barcelona cap al vespre.

ÉS MOLT IMPORTANT DESTACAR QUE EN AQUESTA SORTIDA HI HAURÀ UNA BONA CAMINADA, DE MANERA QUE CAL PORTAR BOTES DE MUNTANYA O CALÇAT ESPORTIU CÒMODE. TAMBÉ HEU DE PORTAR ROBA CÒMODA.

El próximo sábado 25 de Mayo haremos una caminata a Montserrat para salir un poco de la ciudad y conocer la montaña más emblemática de Cataluña.

Montserrat es una de las montañas más conocidas de Catalunya, cuya fama se debe a las formas sinuosas que la perfilan y además es objeto de leyendas y misterios. La montaña acoge diversos edificios como el Monasterio, la Escolanía (donde estudian los niños que forman el coro) o la Santa Cova, donde descansa la Moreneta (una virgen negra encontrada en el Siglo IX).

Saldremos del centro de Barcelona por la mañana e iremos hasta Montserrat. Allí haremos una caminata de dos horas desde Santa Cecilia hasta el Monasterio. Después, tendremos unas dos horas para comer y pasear por los alrededores, volviendo a Barcelona por la tarde.

ES MUY IMPORTANTE DESTACAR QUE EN ESTA SALIDA HAY UNA BUENA CAMINATA, POR LO QUE ES IMPRESCINDIBLE LLEVAR BOTAS DE MONTAÑA O CALZADO DEPORTIVO CÓMODO. TAMBIÉN TENDRÉIS QUE LLEVAR ROPA CÓMODA.

El precio de la salida es de sólo 10€ para estudiantes internacionales e incluye el transporte y la caminata. Como siempre, ¡la comida es cosa vuestra!

The coming Saturday, 25^th of May, we’ll have a walk through Montserrat, in order to leave the city and get to know the most emblematic mountain of Catalunya.

Montserrat is one of the most well-known catalan mountains due to the winding forms outlining it. Always an object of legend and mystery, the mountain has seen the construction of many buildings, such as the Monastery, the Escolania (where the children who sing in the choir study) or the Santa Cova, where the Moreneta (a black virgin statue found in the 9^th century) rests.

We’ll leave from the centre of Barcelona in the morning and we’ll go to Montserrat. There, we’ll have a two-hour walk from Santa Cecília to the Monastery. After that we’ll have a couple hours to have lunch and walk around, and we’ll come back to Barcelona in the afternoon.

 IT’S VERY IMPORTANT TO OUTLINE THAT THERE WILL BE QUITE A WALK IN THIS TRIP, SO WEARING MOUNTAIN BOOTS OR GOOD TRAINERS IS A MUST. YOU ALSO HAVE TO WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES.

 The cost of this trip is only 10€ for International Students; transportation and walk included. You can either bring lunch with you or have a bite there, that’s up to you!
